velvvet is indie uit de hoofd- en hofstad. In 2013 presenteerde de band zijn BRIGHT EP in een volle bovenzaal van Paradiso. LiveXS noemde het "een veelbelovende eerste EP" en was ook te spreken over de "het gebruik van synthesizers" wat "zorgt voor een authentiek geluid". Dit vormde het startpunt voor nieuwe songs. Nu, een jaar na BRIGHT EP, is velvvet gegroeid en geëvolueerd. De rechttoe rechtaan indie rock van voorheen maakt plaats voor indie pop.
