About Thomas Strutius

Thomas Strutius (born 1621 in Prussian Stargard; died 1687) was an organist and composer in Danzig. Strutius was born in Stargard, the son of an organist of the same name. In 1642 he was appointed organist at the Church of St. Trinity in Danzig. In 1647 he received Danzig citizenship . In 1668 he succeeded Ewald Hinz as organist on the large organ in the Marienkirche.
