About The Maple Faust
The Maple Faust was formed in 2007 in Morris County, New Jersey. The band was initially a recording project for Joseph DeGroot and Steven Donahue, with Ezra Lowrey joining the team in 2008. The band's most consistent live line-up was Joseph DeGroot (guitar), Steven Donahue (vocals), Ezra Lowrey (bass), Henry Montesano (organ), Eric Richards (drums) and Andrew Smith (guitar). The band's sound is a blend of lo-fi pop, post-punk, and folk, taking influence from artists such as Arcade Fire, Nick Drake, of Montreal, Neutral Milk Hotel, and Interpol.
