The First Child are a 5 piece Post-hardcore / Emo band from Auckland, New Zealand. The band was formed in 2019 by vocalist Lily Mou from the remnants of a former band line-up known as REI. The band's music has been described as a faithful take on 2000s emo music and takes inspiration from artists that lead the alternative music movement on MTV and MySpace.
