
The Cottars are a Celtic band from Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada. The original members of the band were two teenaged pairs of siblings, Ciarán and Fiona MacGillivray of Albert Bridge, and Jimmy and Roseanne MacKenzie of Baddeck. They released three albums to considerable acclaim: Made In Cape Breton (2002), On Fire (2004), and Forerunner (2006). In 2006, they toured extensively with the well-known Irish band The Chieftains.
