About Ridgelines
Ridgelines is the alias of Bellevue, NE producer Mike Johnson. After years of drumming in Omaha-based bands, Johnson decided to make the computer his main instrument. With a love of hip-hop, a history of rock, and inspiration from The Range, Jamie xx, and Clams Casino, ridgelines is a representation of Johnson's musical DNA. The process for creating his ambient, electronic sound involves drum machines, synthesizers, sampling, and field recordings.
