About Richard Mailey
Richard Mailey was born in a small fishing village on the east coast of Ireland and ever since his introduction into that stimulating atmosphere, he naturally dreamed of being a fisherman. However these dreams were quickly shattered and he turned his attention to his grandfathers old banjo to find comfort. And comfort he found. Before long, at just age 14, he was touring the country with Marky Banjo and the 3 Ronnies, filling in for the third Ronnie who was confined to bed with a terrible case of the sniffles.
