
Qadir Dilan (1929 -1999) was a Kurdish artist and composer who transferred the tonal harmony of European classical music into Kurdish music and brought Kurdish music into European music. He was born in Slemaniye in 1929 and started studying music in his youth. Qadir Dilani went to Prague in 1966 to further his music education. In the Czech Republic, his works have been performed by the Prague Radio Orchestra and the Prague Opera. Qadir Dilani passed away on March 18, 1999 at the age of 70 in Prague.
