About Mental Crisis
There are at least two bands called Mental Crisis: 1) US 80's hardcore band. 2) Finnish goregrind band. 1) MENTAL CRISIS was formed in 1983. The line up included Coby Ellison on guitar, Chris Hartman on bass, Brian Green on drums and Matt Bramlette on vocals. This was the "first" band for each of us... To my knowledge, we were the first "straight edge" hardcore punk band in Kansas City. For Mental Crisis, the whole "straight edge" thing was more about rebelling against what people expected.
