Madoo was a reggae singer born in Dalvey, St. Thomas. He attended Excelsior High School and cut his musical teeth on East Kingston sound systems like Arrows International and Stereophonic. In the early 1980s he had big hits with "Jamming So" and "Coming From Town" for producers Joe Gibbs and Winston Riley, respectively. He also had hits with Joe Grine and Landlord. Madoo migrated to the United States in 1982, recording very sparsely thereafter.
