
Linda Hoover (born and raised in New Jersey in 1952) is an American singer-songwriter. Her debut album, " I Mean to Shine", was recorded in 1970 with contributions by Walter Becker and Donald Fagen of Steely Dan but not released until 2022. Spotted at a regional high school talent contest in New Jersey, Hoover signed to Roulette Records in 1970 and began recording her debut album at Advantage Sound Studios in NYC with engineer Mallory Earl.
