While living in a wood cabin on a farm in his native Fife, Scotland, James began recording the songs which would be the content for his first album release, ‘Like a Buzzard Chased by Crows’. The songs on ‘Buzzard’ reflected Reid's rural surroundings and told tales of local folklore and the people and animals with which he shared the farm.
