About Heliochrysum
Heliochrysum is a project based in Los Angeles, California, consisting of esteemed film composer Michael Deragon, and sound designer/composer Daniel Lea (L A N D, Important Records). The debut EP Forbidden Structures is a visceral introduction to the duo's work: rich, deep and exploratory. Mixed by BedCom alumni Ben Frost and mastered by label owner Valgeir Sigurðsson, these tracks use analogue and digital processes to mine the depths of industrial, science fictional and psychedelic soundscapes - often cinematic in tone and texture.
