About Francisco Peraza

Francisco Peraza “el Mozo” (c. 1564–1598) was a leading figure of the Sevillian Golden Age of organ music and one of the formative influences on the Iberian tiento. Born into a distinguished musical family, he succeeded his father as organist of Seville Cathedral in 1564 and served until his early death in 1598.
