
Wilbur Bass, also known as Blaq Poet is an American hiphop artist from Queensbridge. Currently signed at DJ Premier's label Year Round Records. He first appeared on a track in 1986 with Rockwell Noel on the single 'Beat You Down', who was a diss to KRS-One. But in 2007 Poet appeared on a track by KRS-One. Poet, and long time companion DJ Hot Day, created the group PHD and published 'Without Warning' in 1990. A label for a second album could not be found.
