Beth Whitney is an American folk artist from Leavenworth, WA. "The poet and musician in Beth united at 16 when an intuitive gentleman from church handed her a classical guitar. Here a songwriter she became. When Beth began jamming with Aaron Fishburn at Whitworth College in 2004, there fused folky-reflective songwriter with his toe-tappin', funky upright bass. Soon the pair took home first place at a YMCA talent contest in Shoreline, WA, second place at their college's 'Pirate Idol
