
Barry Andrew Hay (born Faizabad, Uttar Pradesh, India, 16 August 1948) is a Dutch rock singer, best known for his 54 years as frontman of Golden Earring (1967-2021), the internationally most successful band to come out of The Netherlands. Hay also released three albums under his own name. Hay was born in India, spent most of his life living in Amsterdam and The Hague, but (since 2008) resides on the island of Curaçao (Netherlands Antilles). Hay was recruited as the new singer of the Golden Earrings (as Golden Earring was then named) in 1967
