Aysta was born as Robert Aysta July 31,1975 in Virginia, Mn to Jon and Merry. At the age of 13 he got his first bass guitar that he played daily to join his older brother’s new band. He kept playing in local bands throughout high school but quit playing at 19 due to band frustrations. He then picked up the guitar again at age 35 after suffering from addiction and depression. It became a new outlet to write songs about the dread and overwhelming emotions he endured.
