The creation of this band began in the winter of 1999 when percussionist, Jason Meeks, and guitarist, Randy Vaughn, composed half of a band known as Faulkner. Originally a four piece experimental project suited deep in metal/hardcore roots, Faulkner later decided to add a fifth member to the mix and added Abram Morphew, ex-Figure Five bassist in September of 2001. Faulkner ended in July 2002 after the departure of one of its members. In August 2002
